This Lister 5hp type L was made in 1914 in Dursley, England and shipped to Canada where it was installed to run a line shaft in a machine shop. It was faithfully in service until the installation of an electric motor some years later. This throttle governed engine finally came home with us a few years ago when we traded it for another engine. Last year I was able to acquire an original English Lister cart, which has wheels that are VERY heavy. She will be transferred to her new cart this summer in order to travel to shows.
